Sunday, December 2, 2018 - 3:00pm
Lipinsky Auditorium - Lipinsky Hall - UNCA Campus

Please join us for a very special concert by the UNCA Percussion Ensemble and Wind Ensemble, featuring original music, classics, and holiday tunes!

The percussion ensemble will perform an original student composition as well as student arrangements of music from The Jungle Book and the prog-rock classic “The Firth of Fifth” by Genesis. They will also present the wild and intense percussion Interlude from Shostakovich’s satirical opera “The Nose”. The wind ensemble’s performance will include music by Vincent Persichetti, Philip Sparke, and John Cacavas. The evening will conclude with the world premiere of a new piece by UNCA Music Lecturer Matthew Richmond, performed by the two ensembles combined.

This concert is free and open to the public.
